Heavenly Father, the Ivy League envelope gathered dust on my dresser while I partied through senior year. "College is for suckers," I told Mrs. Henderson when she begged me to reconsider. Now I watch my daughter cry over community college tuition bills, her scholarship applications rejected. She doesn't know I had a full ride to the school she dreams about. When she says, "You don't understand how hard this is," I bite my tongue. You offered me wings, and I used them for kindling.
